Is it better to stay in Seminyak or Canggu?

Both Seminyak and Canggu have good surfing waves and surf schools but if you came to Bali to surf (not just for 1 or 2 lessons for the fun of it), you’ll definitely want to be staying in Canggu. The waves are more challenging and there are many more surf beaches to explore compared to Seminyak.[1]

Which is better Seminyak or Kuta?

Basically Seminyak has more upmarket boutiques/shopping restaurants & accommodation eg villas. Kuta has many budget type places to stay & is closer to the airport. I generally like to stay around Legian area.[2]
